Our Mission

 Harmony House for Heroes is dedicated to providing safe, stable, and dignified housing for veterans in need. Founded by a disabled veteran, our mission is to honor those who served our country by creating supportive living environments that promote healing, independence, and long-term stability. Through housing, resources, and community connections, we empower veterans to rebuild their lives with dignity, respect, and hope.

    TyRonda Mitchell – President & Founder

      TyRonda Mitchell, a disabled veteran and retired Ford Motor Company employee, is the visionary behind Harmony House for Heroes. She is a graduate of Baker College in Allen Park, MI, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, along with a Certificate in Culinary Arts. Drawing on her professional background, education, and 

      TyRonda Mitchell, a disabled veteran and retired Ford Motor Company employee, is the visionary behind Harmony House for Heroes. She is a graduate of Baker College in Allen Park, MI, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, along with a Certificate in Culinary Arts. Drawing on her professional background, education, and lived experience as a veteran, TyRonda leads with compassion and determination to ensure that fellow veterans have access to safe, dignified housing and supportive services.

    James Mitchell, a proud veteran who served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps, brings discipline, leadership, and dedication to his role as Facilities Director. He oversees property management, maintenance, and safety compliance for Harmony House for Heroes, ensuring that every resident lives in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.

     Vertrell Tate is a finance professional and community organizer with deep ties to both Stanly County and Mecklenburg County, NC. As Treasurer, she oversees financial stewardship, budget management, and fiscal accountability, ensuring Harmony House for Heroes operates with integrity and sustainability while maximizing impact for veterans.
